Messi’s eldest son registered as Inter Miami academy player
MOSCOW, 28 Aug – The eldest son of Argentine Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi Thiago has been registered as an academy player for the North American Major League Soccer (MLS) team, according to the club’s official website.
Thiago Messi, who turns 11 in November, will play for the under-12 team.
The club, whose owner group includes former England captain David Beckham, announced the signing of Messi on 15 July. The Argentine is a graduate of the Spanish “Barcelona”, which included a ten-time champion of Spain and a four-time winner of the Champions League. In 2021, he moved to the French side Paris Saint-Germain, with whom he won the national championship twice and the French Super Cup once. As part of the Argentina national team, Messi became the world champion and the winner of the America’s Cup. The Argentinean is a seven-time winner of the Ballon d’Or.
