MOSCOW, July 26 – The Danish football club “Mitjylland” reached the third round of the Champions League qualification, being stronger than the Cypriot AEK in the sum of two matches.
The main time of the return match, which took place in Larnaca, ended with a score of 1:1, Viktor Olatunzhi (9th minute) scored against AEK, and Henrik Dalsgaard (12) scored in the away team. In extra time, the teams did not score goals, in the penalty shootout the Danish club was stronger – 4:3. The first meeting also ended with the score 1:1.
Midtjylland will face Portugal’s Benfica in the third qualifying round. The first legs of this stage will take place on August 2 and 3, the return legs on August 9.
