Modric could move to Messi’s Inter Miami this winter
MOSCOW, September 19 – Croatian Real Madrid footballer Luka Modric could move to the North American Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami in the winter transfer window, reports Todofichajes.
According to the publication, the 38-year-old midfielder would like to finish the current season with the Madrid team, but may change his mind due to the small amount of playing time.
Inter Miami features Argentine striker Lionel Messi, as well as his former Barcelona teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
Modric moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2012 from English Tottenham and during this time became a three-time champion of Spain and a five-time winner of the Champions League with the Madrid club. His current agreement with Los Blancos runs until the end of the 2023/24 season.
As part of the Croatian national team, the midfielder won the silver medal at the 2018 World Championship, which was held in Russia, and was recognized as the best player of the tournament. Then he became the owner of the Golden Ball. In 2022, Modric won bronze at the World Championships in Qatar.
