MOSCOW, May 15 – The Monaco footballers won a strong-willed victory over Brest in the match of the 37th round of the French championship.
The meeting at the stadium “Louis II” ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of the home team. The winners had a hat-trick on account of Wissam Ben Yedder (44, 51, 55 minutes), Kevin Folland (70) also scored. Jean-Kevin Duverne (10) and Youssef Belaili (23) scored for Montpellier.
Russian midfielder “Monaco” Alexander Golovin came out in the starting lineup, in stoppage time for the first half, he received a yellow card, in the 79th minute he was replaced.
Monaco won their ninth consecutive win and are second in the standings with 68 points. Brest is in 11th place with 48 points.
