MOSCOW, 24 July – Nigerian midfielder of the Moscow football club “Spartak” Victor Moses said that the removal of Russian teams from European tournaments did not affect his motivation, as you need to give all your best in the national championship.
On Saturday Spartak beat Krasnodar 4:1. Moses scored in the 83rd minute. Earlier, the 31-year-old Nigerian missed the collection of “red-white” in Tarasovka for personal reasons. He joined the team only on 5 July.
“Football remains football. I just want to play. Of course, I would like to compete with the best, but the situation is like this. In any case, you need to honestly do your job, give your best in the national championship. I don’t think I should throw words and say about the need to take first place, but if we show ourselves as a cohesive, united team, then everything is possible,” Moses said in a video posted on Spartak’s official YouTube channel.
Moses moved to Spartak Moscow from Chelsea in 2021. Previously, he played for the Moscow club in the 2020/21 season on loan.
