Multan Sultans faced Lahore Qalandars on Sunday, 15 March. In this match, Australia’s aggressive opener for Lahore, Krill Lynn scored a century while playing a fast-paced inning.
Chris Lynn scored 113 runs off 55 balls. During this, he hit 12 fours and 8 sixes. His innings helped Lahore Qalandars to reach the semi-finals.
Karachi Kings’ worries must have increased after watching Lynn’s batting. Lahore will take on Karachi in the semi-finals. Multan Sultans’ team will take on Peshawar Zalmi in the first semi-final.
Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bowl. Multan Sultans scored a mammoth score of 187 for 6 in 20 overs. Khushdil Shah scored 70 off 29 balls.
Captain Shaan Masood smashed an innings of 42 off 29 balls. At the same time, Ravi Bopara scored 33 off 36 balls. David Vij and Shaheen Afridi took two wickets each for Lahore.
Lahore team started off fast to chase the target. Fakhar Zaman and Chris Lynn shared a 100-run partnership for the first wicket in 8.6 overs.
Fakhar Zaman returned to the pavilion after scoring 57 off 35 balls. He hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. He was followed by an unbeaten 91-run partnership for the second wicket with Sohail Akhtar. Of this, Sohail scored just 19 runs.
Lynn scored at a strike rate of 205.45. Due to his fast batting, Lahore’s team won with 7 balls remaining. Multan stood first in the points table, Karachi second, Lahore third and Peshawar fourth.
