MOSCOW, 23 Sep – Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka has been suspended for the 2022-23 season for violating organization guidelines. reported on the official Twitter account of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Earlier, ESPN, citing a source, said that Ima Udoka faces disciplinary action for having an intimate relationship with an employee. This fact was considered a violation of the principles of the organization.
It is noted that the decision to continue the work of the coach at the club at the end of the season will be made later. The suspension takes effect immediately after the decision is made.
Udoka took charge of Boston in June 2021. Under his leadership, the club reached the NBA Finals, where they lost to Golden State in six games.
