Nice players will wear T-shirts to support earthquake victims
MOSCOW, September 15 – Nice players will enter the match of the fifth round of the French championship with Paris Saint-Germain wearing special T-shirts in support of victims of the earthquake in Morocco, according to the team’s website.
Before the start of the game, a minute of silence will be held in memory of the victims of the tragedy, during which Nice players will wear T-shirts with the words “Support Morocco”. The jerseys will be auctioned. Profits from the sale will be donated to the victims and families of the victims to provide resources, permanent or temporary housing.
The meeting will take place on Friday and will begin at 22:00 Moscow time.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred in Morocco on the night of September 9. The outbreak lay at a depth of ten kilometers, 80 kilometers from Marrakech. This was followed by at least four aftershocks with magnitudes 4.8, 3.4, 3.2 and 3.3. The death toll exceeded 2.9 thousand people.
