MOSCOW, 21 July – Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of former Manchester United striker Jesse Lingard on their official website.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been signed to a one-year deal, with a salary of around £200,000 a week, according to The Guardian.
Lingard is a graduate of Manchester United and made his first team debut in 2014, having previously spent two seasons on loan with Leicester (2012-2013) and Birmingham (2013-2014). Manchester United loaned Lingard three more times, to Brighton (2014), Derby County (2015) and West Ham (2021).
In total, Lingard played 232 matches for Manchester United, in which he scored 35 goals and made 21 assists. As part of the England team, the midfielder has 32 games and six goals.
In the 2022/23 season, Nottingham Forest will play in the English Premier League (EPL) for the first time since 1999.
