Olympic champion Uguev lost in the fight for bronze at the World Championships
MOSCOW, September 18 – Russian freestyle wrestler Zaur Uguev lost in the bout for the bronze medal at the World Championships in Belgrade.
In the fight for third place in the weight category up to 57 kg, the Russian lost to the representative of Albania, Zelimkhan Abakarov, with a score of 4:5. Uguev will later compete for an Olympic license for the 2024 Games in Paris in the repechage round.
Uguev is 28 years old, he is an Olympic champion and two-time world champion.
The World Championships in Belgrade will end on September 24. Russians and Belarusians are allowed to participate in competitions in a neutral status.
