Olympic mixed doubles tennis champion Jack Sock retires at 30
MOSCOW, 27 Aug – American tennis player Jack Sock has announced his retirement on his X (formerly Twitter) social network profile.
Sok is ranked 485th in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings, his best position being eighth (2017). At the ATP level, the 30-year-old American last played in April at a tournament in Houston, where he lost in the first round to Czech Tomas Machach.
“Infinitely grateful. Thank you for everything tennis,” Juice wrote.
Sok is an Olympic champion in mixed doubles and a bronze medalist in doubles. Also in pairs, he won Wimbledon twice and once – the US Open and the final ATP tournament. In the mixed doubles, he once became the winner of the US Open. In total, he has 21 victories in ATP tournaments (four of them in singles).
