O’Malley vs. Munoz at UFC 276 declared a no-contest due to an eye poke

MOSCOW, June 3 –

The American representative of the UFC lightest division, Sean O’Malley, was unable to defeat compatriot Pedro Munoz and extend the winning streak to four won fights in a row.

The opening fight of the main card of UFC 276, held in Las Vegas (USA), was stopped in the second round due to an eye poke by O’Malley. The doctor examined Munoz and then told the judge about the impossibility of continuing the fight – as a result, the confrontation was declared invalid.

Recall that the main event of the evening will be the fight of the league middleweight champion Israel Adesanya against Jared Cannonier. Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will take on Max Holloway for the third time in UFC 276’s second-highest bout.
