American Pegula became Potapova’s rival in the 1/4 finals of the tennis tournament in Miami
MOSCOW, 27 Mar – American Jessica Pegula reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000 home tennis tournament in Miami, the prize pool of which is $8.8 million.
In the fourth round match, Pegula (3rd seed) defeated Poland’s Magda Linett (20) with a score of 6:1, 7:5. The meeting lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes.

In the second set, the 29-year-old American, ranked third in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), lost 2-5, but then won five games in a row.
For reaching the semi-finals of the tournament, Pegula will compete with Russian Anastasia Potapova (27th seed).
