Skier Pekletsova won the 15 km race at the Russian Summer Championships
MOSCOW, September 15 – Skier Alina Pekletsova won the 15 km freestyle time trial on roller skis at the Russian Championships, which takes place at the Malinovka sports center in the Arkhangelsk region.
The athlete completed the distance in 39 minutes 40.4 seconds. Ekaterina Smirnova took second (44.1 seconds behind), Anastasia Prokofieva took third place (+1.14.2).
Olympic champion Veronika Stepanova fell during the race and finished 27th, 4 minutes 29 seconds back.
The Russian summer cross-country skiing championship will end on September 18. Also on Friday there will be a men’s 20 km freestyle race.
