MOSCOW, 10 Sep – The pilot of the team “Formula 1” “Williams” Alexander Albon commented with humor on the upcoming operation for appendicitis, the Thai said that weight loss would benefit him.
On Saturday it became known that Albon was hospitalized with appendicitis and will miss the upcoming race at the Italian Grand Prix. He will be replaced by reserve driver Nick de Vries.
“Appendicitis, surgery and not racing is not what I expected this weekend. Negative: missing a potentially big weekend for us, pain. Positive: cutting weight ahead of Singapore, bad scars,” he wrote in Twitter.
The Italian Grand Prix, the 16th round of the Formula 1 championship, takes place at the Monza National Circuit. Qualification will take place later on Saturday, the race will take place on Sunday. Stage in Singapore will be held from 30 September to 2 October.
