Neymar’s hair and Niklas Bendtner’s boots are the trend of the last decades.

Pink is not the first year – one of the most popular colors in the fashion world, and not only high. And his popularity is not slowing down. Proof of this, for example, the spring show of Valentino at Paris Fashion Week, almost entirely made in pink. Pink has long ceased to be an exclusively “feminine” color, well-known fashion houses produce entire collections, and football clubs make kits in pink shades.

Football in pink

Juventus wore the pink kit for two years, in the 2015/2016 and 2020/2021 seasons. The Scottish national team, not wanting to deviate from the trend, also played in pink in 2019. Spanish giants also had pink kits: Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Madrid team wore pink kits for the first time in 2018, when the kit came out very bright. The second time was not so defiant: in the 2020/2021 season, the kit was made in softer colors. The Catalans played in the trend color in the 2018/2019 and 2020/2021 seasons. And that’s not all.

Manchester United players also wore a pink kit in 2018, while Palermo of Italy have a pink kit that is part of the club’s official logo. And this year, the Italian “Bari” from Serie C, together with the fashion brand LC23, created a designer pink set with a pattern in the form of octopus tentacles. It turned out, I must say, very original.

Previously, we have already talked about other stylish novelties in the world of football.

“Fans” of pink

Perhaps the first who tried to introduce a trend for pink things in the football community was Niklas “Lord” Bendtner. It happened in 2008: Bendtner played for the London Arsenal and put on pink boots in a match with Dynamo Kyiv. Then few people appreciated this gesture, pink boots were even criticized, but this was only the beginning.

Now pink in a sports uniform is far from uncommon. Many footballers, including, for example, Neymar, have already managed to play in pink boots. And Kylian Mbappe collaborated with Nike to release his own pink pair in a new design.

Hector Bellerin

Bellerin, who plays for the Spanish “Betis”, has always been known for his ability to dress stylishly. The Spaniard was even named the most fashionable footballer of the year according to Highsnobiety in 2018. Since then, little has changed. The athlete even managed to remove David Beckham from the fashion pedestal – read more about this in our previous article.

Hector Bellerin: the new style icon from Spain

In public, Hector always shines, dressed with a needle – and he also respects the pink color. Proof of this is the appearance at the Louis Vuitton fashion show in a pink look: the football player was wearing shorts and a crocodile hoodie of this color.

Jack Grealish

Grealish, like Bellerin, is perhaps one of the most fashionable footballers of our time. Including in favor of this is the recently signed contract with the fashion house Gucci. Grealish is now an ambassador for the Italian brand. The Manchester City winger’s wardrobe is full of pink pieces, including hoodies, sweatshirts and more.

Particularly notable is the Palm Angels zip-up sweatshirt Grealish wore in public while still an Aston Villa player. And this spring, photographers captured Jack on the street in a pink tracksuit.

Neymar

The Brazilian footballer is famous for his extravagant style, and pink is an integral part of it. Neymar has repeatedly appeared on the field in pink boots, in everyday life he wears pink t-shirts, shorts, jackets, sneakers. In one of the photos on social networks, the athlete poses in a pink coat and pink trousers. In general, he definitely likes this color.

Needless to say, in 2020, Neymar even dyed his hair pink.
