Poland, Latvia, Cyprus and Finland will host the European Basketball Championship in 2025

MOSCOW, 17 Sep – The European Basketball Championship in 2025 will be held by Poland, Latvia, Cyprus and Finland, according to the official website of the Polish Basketball Association.
In March of this year, three host countries of the European Championship became known: Latvia, Cyprus and Finland. The matches of another group could be hosted by Ukraine, but Poland took its place. Each of the countries will host the matches of one of the four groups. The playoffs of the tournament will be held in Latvia.
EuroBasket is scheduled to take place in September 2025. Exact dates will be announced later. The participants of the tournament will be determined based on the results of the qualification, the preliminary stage of which started in November 2021.
In September 2021, six countries applied to host EuroBasket 2025 – Russia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Finland, Hungary and Latvia. The Hungarian Basketball Federation later withdrew its candidacy. Later, FIBA ​​decided to remove Russian athletes and officials from participation in all competitions under the auspices of the organization due to the situation in Ukraine.
