Police in Kazakhstan detain about 30 football fans for a mass brawl
MOSCOW, June 20 – The police detained more than 30 football fans who fought before the match of the 14th round of the Kazakhstan Football Championship between Aktobe and Atyrau, the press service of the Premier League reports.
A mass brawl involving dozens of fans took place in Atyrau on the Sunday before the match. The police arrived at the scene to prevent a scuffle.
As a result, 30 people who committed offenses in a public place were brought to the police station. Fans used sonic firecrackers and smoke bombs. It is noted that the incident cost no casualties.
The incident did not prevent the match, which ended with the victory of “Aktobe” with a score of 2:0.
