Porto beat Tondela to win the Portuguese Cup for the eighteenth time
MOSCOW, May 22 – Porto beat Tondela in the Portuguese Cup final.
The meeting at the Estadio Nacional stadium, where the national team of Portugal plays its matches, ended with a score of 3: 1 in favor of Porto, in which Mehdi Taremi scored a double (22nd minute – from a penalty kick, 74th minute), another goal was scored by Vitor Ferreira (52). At Tondela, Neto Borges scored (73).
Porto won the Copa de Portugal for the 18th time in their history and finished in second place in terms of number of victories in the competition, overtaking Sporting CP (17). The most titled club in the country’s Cup is Benfica, it has 26 wins. Tondela played in the final for the first time in its history.
