MOSCOW, 29 Mar – Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova lost to American Jessica Pegula in the quarterfinal match of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami (USA), the prize fund of which is $8.8 million.

The meeting ended with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 7:6 (7:2) in favor of the American seeded at the tournament under the third number. The 21-year-old Russian woman had the 27th seeding number. Tennis players spent 2 hours and 36 minutes on the court.

For reaching the final, the 29-year-old American, who is third in the ranking of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), will compete with the representative of Kazakhstan, Elena Rybakina (10th seed).
