MOSCOW, 21 July – The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) has taken the first step towards developing a new set of important measures and is awaiting feedback from the federations, the head of the organization, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, said on his Telegram channel.
Pozdnyakov said that one of the main tasks of the ROC is to assist in the preparation of a competitive Olympic reserve in the long term. The organization, together with sports federations, is trying to provide athletes and coaches with everything they need.
“The ROC, for its part, has already made the first approach to developing a new set of important measures. Now the word is up to the federations – we are waiting for their feedback and we will supplement the list in accordance with their needs and wishes,” Pozdnyakov wrote.
The head of the ROC also said that on Thursday the issue of co-financing the All-Russian competitions, which are organized by the Russian Ski Racing Federation and the All-Russian Sailing Federation, was agreed.
“Now you can be sure that the Russian Championships in roller skiing among juniors and juniors and the Russian Championships in sailing in several classes will be held at the proper level,” Pozdnyakov added.
