The Premier League has condemned racist threats against Sheffield goalkeeper Foderingham
MOSCOW, September 17 – The English Premier League in its account on the social network X (formerly the social network Twitter) said that it condemns racist remarks against Sheffield goalkeeper Wesley Foderingham, and that it will support the club in investigating the situation.
On Saturday, Sheffield lost to Tottenham in the match of the fifth round of the English Football Championship with a score of 1:2. After the meeting, Foderingham wrote on his Instagram (the activities of Meta (social networks Facebook and Instagram) are banned in Russia as extremist) that he received racist insults and threats to his family.
Tottenham said it would cooperate with Sheffield’s investigation and said the club would take the strongest possible action, including disqualifying any “so-called fan” found guilty.
