Marca: PSG will release Lee Kang-in to the Asian Games to avoid military service
MOSCOW, September 15 – French football club Paris Saint-Germain will allow midfielder Lee Kang-in to play for South Korea at the Asian Games to help him avoid military service, Marca reports.
In July, Lee Kang-in moved to PSG from the Spanish club Mallorca. According to media reports, the transaction amounted to 22 million euros.
According to Korean law, if 22-year-old Lee Kang-in helps the national team win an international tournament, he will be exempt from 21 months of military service. At the same time, during the Asian Games, which will be held from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou, the national championships will not be interrupted.
In 2018, victory at the Asian Games helped the Korean striker of English Tottenham, Son Heung-min, avoid military service.
