Rahul says Rohit Sharma will be recovering within a few days

The last match of the 5-match T20 series was played between India and New Zealand. In this match, the Indian players once again won by 7 runs. With this victory, Team India also won the series 5–0.

India captain Rohit Sharma did not come out for fielding due to injury to the calf while batting in this match. Rahul says he will recover in a few days. Rahul led the team in the absence of Rohit. Regular captain Virat Kohli was rested in the final match of the series.

According to the BCCI official update, “Rohit Sharma is currently being evaluated. During the prize distribution ceremony after the match, Rahul said, “Rohit is fine, unfortunate injury, hoping that he will recover in a few days.”

Rohit was batting at number three, retired hurt due to an injury to the left calf when he hit a six. He scored 60 runs in his 41-ball innings with the help of three fours and three sixes.

Talking about this match, Team India, batting first, gave New Zealand a target of 164 runs to win. In response, the Indian bowlers made a strong start and won the match by 7 runs and captured the series 5–0.

Now the series of three ODIs will be played between the two teams on 5 February.
