Alpha Tauri driver Ricciardo could miss two races due to injury
MOSCOW, 28 Aug – Red Bull Formula 1 team principal Christian Horner has said that Australian Alpha Tauri driver Daniel Ricciardo could miss two races after suffering an injury.
Ricciardo suffered a broken arm during his second free practice at the Dutch Grand Prix on 25 August. The rider lost control and flew into the fence. As a result of the accident, the athlete received a broken arm. For the rest of the stage, Ricciardo was replaced by New Zealander Liam Lawson, who made his debut in the “royal races”.
Alfa Tauri CEO Peter Bayer said Ricciardo’s fracture was more difficult than expected.
Ricciardo terminated his contract with McLaren in August last year by mutual agreement. He joined Red Bull as a reserve driver in November. In July, Alfa Tauri took him on loan until the end of the current season.
