Robert Lewandowski says he’s ready to take part in Barcelona’s next game

MOSCOW, 20 Jul – The Spanish football club “Barcelona” officially introduced Robert Lewandowski, who joined from the German “Bavaria”, to the United States, the striker expressed his readiness to take part in the next match of the new team.
On Wednesday night, the Barcelona players defeated Inter Miami (6:0) in the match of the pre-season tour, which takes place in the United States, Lewandowski was not included in the application. In the next game, “blue garnet” July 24 will meet with Madrid “Real”.
“My transfer to Barcelona was preceded by hard work. I’m happy to be a great club with an amazing history, to be able to make this history. I’m ready to take part in the team’s next game,” Lewandowski said in a video posted on Barcelona’s Twitter.
“I want to help the team win matches by scoring goals. This is a new challenge for me, you have to be hungry to win and I’m hungry, my mentality forces me to keep scoring goals,” added the striker.
The contract term with the 33-year-old Pole is for four years, the transfer cost the Catalans 45 million euros. Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich in 2014 from Borussia Dortmund. As part of the Munich club, he played 375 matches, scored 344 goals and became the champion of Germany eight times. In 2020, he won the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup. As part of the Polish national team, Lewandowski played 132 matches in which he scored 76 goals, he is the top scorer in the history of the national team. The striker was named the best player in the world according to the International Football Federation in 2020 and 2021.
