England batsman Jose Butler has tied the praise of Rohit Sharma. He has described this Indian opener as the best player.
Butler believes that Rohit can single-handedly beat the opposing team by scoring big centuries without much effort.
Butler said on the Rajasthan Royals page during the Instagram live session, “I think Rohit Sharma is a great player.” Ease in batting.
Many players from India have this great style. He has been batting brilliantly for a long time. I like his batting and his way of batting people without any effort.
Rohit is considered one of the world’s best players in the limited overs format. He is second in the ICC ODI batting rankings after Indian captain Virat Kohli. The Mumbai batsman is the only cricketer in the world to score three double centuries in ODI cricket.
Rohit has also equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of scoring the most centuries in World Cup matches by scoring five centuries in the 2019 World Cup. He was the tournament’s top scorer with 648 runs.
Butler, who was part of the dressing room of Mumbai Indians with Rohit in IPL 2016 and 2017, said, “One of the things I’ve seen with Rohit is that he plays big innings if he freezes.” This thing greatly affects the match. He scored five centuries in the World Cup last year.
Butler believes that Indian players are now in a better position to deal with bouncing balls.
He said, ‘I think a few years back people used to use short pitch balls against Indian players, but Rohit still used to play big shots on them. After that you bowl full length and he also sends it outside the field. ‘
