MOSCOW, 21 July – Rubin signed a contract with goalkeeper Alexander Belenov, who previously played for Ufa, according to the Telegram channel of the Kazan football team.
Earlier Thursday it became known that goalkeeper Nikita Medvedev moved from Rubin to Rostov.
It is reported that 35-year-old Belenov moved to Rubin as a free agent and signed a contract for a period of two years.
Belenov has been playing for Ufa since February 2017. As part of the team, he was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the Russian Premier League (RPL) in the 2019/20 season, and also entered Lev Yashin’s club as a goalkeeper who played “to zero” in 100 official matches.
Belenov left Ufa in mid-July, terminating the contract by agreement of the parties. Like the Ufa club, Rubin will play the 2022/23 season in the First League.
