In the third installment, Medvedev played four match points. “The final tie-break, our rallies were crazy. The last rally we had, I don’t know, about 30 hits. I already had a little more cramps, but I was thinking, ‘One more, one more, you have to keep playing.’ I’m sure Medvedev felt the same way,” the tennis player added.
Rublev plays for the third time in his career at the final ATP tournament, at the previous two (2020, 2021) he failed to leave the group.
