Mohamed Salah scored his 10th goal at Old Trafford as Liverpool defeated Manchester United 3-0 in a Premier League match on Sunday. Despite the victory, Salah hinted at a possible departure from Liverpool at the end of the season, leaving fans concerned.

The Egyptian star, who scored one goal and assisted two for Luis Diaz, expressed his feelings to Sky Sports: “It’s been a good summer. As it’s my last year at the club, I’ll try to stay positive for the rest of the time.”

Salah’s contract with Liverpool, which began in 2017, is set to expire at the end of this season. At 32, he has not yet engaged in discussions with the club about extending his stay. “I want to enjoy the time,” Salah said. “I don’t want to think about it (leaving Liverpool). Let’s see what happens next year.”

Having scored in seven consecutive matches at Old Trafford, Salah mentioned that no one from the club has approached him about renewing his contract. “To be honest, I started playing as if this might be my last match at Old Trafford. No one at the club has spoken to me about the contract. It’s not about me, it’s about the club.”
