DOHA, 23 Sep – The last stage of the online sale of the remaining tickets for the World Cup in Qatar will begin on September 27 at 12:00 Doha time (coincident with Moscow time), according to a message on the website of the International Football Federation (FIFA).
Earlier, the organizing committee of the championship reported that 2.45 million tickets were sold for the first World Cup in the Arab world.
Fans from Qatar, the USA, England, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, France, Argentina, Brazil and Germany bought the most tickets.
During the sales phase from July 5 to August 16, 520,532 tickets were sold. High demand was caused by such group stage matches as Cameroon – Brazil, Brazil – Serbia, Portugal – Uruguay, Costa Rica – Germany, Australia – Denmark.
The World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
