Rangers goaltender Shesterkin made a spectacular save in the NHL game against Pittsburgh
MOSCOW, 19 Mar — The New York Rangers host the Pittsburgh Penguins in a National Hockey League (NHL) regular season game.
In the third period, Russian Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin made one of the biggest saves of the NHL regular season. Penguins forward Alexander Nylander brought Mikael Granlund to the shooting position, but the Finnish striker of the guests could not outplay the goaltender of the Blueshirts. Shesterkin blocked the path to his goal in a spectacular jump and deflected the puck with his shield.
Igor Shesterkin is the winner of the prize for the best goalkeeper of the 2021/22 regular season.
