MOSCOW, 21 July – Spartak Moscow has signed a contract with Canadian striker Philip Varone, according to the official Telegram channel of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club.
The agreement with the 31-year-old striker is for one season.
Last season, Varone played in the Swiss clubs Lausanne and Bern, for which he played 42 matches in total and scored 25 points (8 goals and 17 assists). In the National Hockey League (NHL), he played 97 games for the Buffalo Sabers, Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers, scoring 17 points (8+9).
In the KHL, Varone spent one season as part of the Kazakh Barys.
