MOSCOW, 28 Jul – Former mentor of the Russian national football team, head coach of the Hungarian “Ferencváros” Stanislav Cherchesov spoke about the support from his native country.
The specialist took charge of the club from Budapest last December.

“It’s clear that you don’t want to, but you read something, you see the headlines. You can’t hide football anywhere. There is criticism and praise – a normal thing,” Cherchesov is quoted by the “Championship”.

The coach added that now he has less opportunity to follow the Russian championship. “I know the results, but I don’t follow the matches. We ourselves have a game-by-game schedule, so there is no time for this,” Cherchesov said.
At the head of Ferencváros, he won the championship and the Hungarian Cup. On July 27, Cherchesov’s team beat the Slovak “Slovan” with a score of 5:3 on aggregate and advanced to the third qualifying round of the Champions League, where they will meet with the Azerbaijani “Karabakh”.
