“I am putting up two of my championship rings for a charity auction. They are very valuable to me, but moments are more valuable than things. Now the victory of Ukraine and the fact that Ukrainian children associate their future with Ukraine are more important to me, ”Medvedenko wrote on Instagram.
Together with journalist Nikolai Vasilkov, Medvedenko opened the Syagay Heaven Foundation. The proceeds from the sale of the rings will be used to rehabilitate children who were forced to face the war, and to restore the sports infrastructure and equipment of destroyed Ukrainian schools.
The starting price of the rings is $50,000.
