MOSCOW, 27 Jul – Forward Mikhail Maltsev has signed a new contract with the Colorado Avalanche, according to the page of the National Hockey League (NHL) club on Twitter.
Agreement 24-year-old striker with the current owner of the Stanley Cup is designed for one season.
Maltsev was selected 102nd overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2016 draft. Last July, he was traded to the Colorado. In the last season of the NHL regular season, he took part in 18 matches in which he did not score points. The Russian also has 48 points (17 goals + 31 assists) in 56 games with the Colorado Eagles, which is the Avalanche farm club in the American Hockey League (AHL).
