Stoyanovsky and Leshukov became winners of the Century Cup in beach volleyball
MOSCOW, September 15 – Oleg Stoyanovsky and Ilya Leshukov became winners of the Century Cup in beach volleyball in Sochi, the total prize fund of which is 6 million rubles.
In the final match, Stoyanovsky and Leshukov, who represent Fakel from Novy Urengoy, beat Dmitry Veretyuk and Alexey Arkhipov (Obninsk, Kaluga region) with a score of 2:0 (21:12, 21:15).
In the match for third place, Vyacheslav Krasilnikov and Konstantin Semenov (Vityaz, Anapa) won the match, beating Belarusians Alexander Dedkov and Pavel Petrushko (Minsk, Belarus) with a score of 2:0 (21:17, 21:14).
The women’s winners were Nadezhda Makroguzova and Svetlana Kholomina. In the final match they beat the pair Maria Egorova / Maria Bocharova with a score of 2:0 (21:13, 21:12).
In the match for third place, the Brazilian pair Lilian Maestrini / Larissa Franca won, beating Russian athletes Ekaterina Birlova and Daria Rudykh with a score of 2:0 (21:16, 21:17).
The winners of the tournament will receive 1 million rubles in prize money, silver medalists – 600 thousand, and third place winners – 500 thousand.
