Šwiętek kicked off the US Open with a crushing victory over Peterson
MOSCOW, 28 Aug – The first racket of the world Pole Iga Swiatek reached the second round of the US Open in New York, having lost one game in the opening match.
In the first round of the season’s last Grand Slam, top seed Šwiętek defeated Sweden’s Rebecca Peterson 6-0, 6-1. The meeting lasted 58 minutes.

For reaching the third round of the US Open, Sventek will compete with Australian Daria Saville.
