MOSCOW, 23 Jul – Swimmer Maria Kameneva won the International Friendship Games competition and the Russian Cup final in Kazan in the 50m backstroke.
The result of the athlete is 27.65 seconds. The second place at the Friendship Games was taken by the representative of Belarus Anastasia Shkurdai (28.14), the third – Elizaveta Agapitova (28.81). Marina Kravchenko took bronze in the Russian Cup standings (28.84).
Andrey Nikolaev won the men’s 50m breaststroke (26.86). The second was the Belarusian Ilya Shimanovich (27.04), the third place was shared by the Russians Kirill Prigoda and Danil Semyaninov (27.20). The third result in the Russian Cup standings was shown by Vladislav Gerasimenko (27.32).
Anastasia Guzhenkova won the 200m freestyle (1:58.42). Silver was taken by Valeria Salamatina (1:58.44), bronze – Anna Egorova (1:59.16).
International swimming competitions “Friendship Games” will last in Kazan until July 25.
In March, the International Swimming Federation (FINA) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
