MOSCOW, 24 July – The silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Russian Martin Malyutin, became the first in the 200-meter crawl at the international competitions “Friendship Games” and in the final of the Russian Cup in Kazan.
The result of the winner was 1 minute 46.14 seconds. The second place went to Mikhail Dovgalyuk (1:46.79), the third – Daniil Shatalov (1:46.85).
Tokyo Olympic medalist Kliment Kolesnikov won the 50m backstroke (24.16). He was ahead of Pavel Samusenko (24.70) and the representative of Belarus Viktor Staselovich (25.13). Nikolai Zuev was third in the Russian Cup standings (25.14).
Maria Kameneva (59.26) won the women’s 100m backstroke competition. Second place went to Belarusian swimmer Anastasia Shkurdai (59.97), and third place went to Elizaveta Agapitova (1:01.24). Daria Ustinova was third in the Russian Cup standings (1:01.49).
In the women’s 50m crawl, Arina Surkova (24.80) was ahead of Daria Klepikova (25.05) and Daria Ustinova (25.15).
International swimming competitions “Friendship Games” will last in Kazan until July 25. In March, the International Swimming Federation (FINA) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
