MOSCOW, 21 July – Elena Bogomolova won the 50m breaststroke at the Friendship Games international competition and the Russian Cup final in Kazan.
The result of the winner was 30.75 seconds, the second place went to Elena Godun (30.94), the third was the representative of Belarus Alina Zmushka (30.96).
Maria Kameneva took the lead in the women’s 100m crawl with a score of 53.48 seconds. The second place was taken by Daria Surushkina (54.54), the third – by Daria Ustinova (54.59).
The first place in the 50m butterfly was taken by Oleg Kostin (22.78), ahead of Roman Shevlyakov (23.20) and Mikhail Vekovishchev (23.25).
In the men’s 400m crawl, Alexander Egorov won (3:47.04), Daniil Shatalov won silver (3:47.17). The silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Russian Martin Malyutin, finished third (3:49.46).
International swimming competitions “Friendship Games” will last in Kazan until July 25.
In March, the International Swimming Federation (FINA) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
