Team USA wins the overall standings at the World Championships in Athletics in Budapest
MOSCOW, 27 Aug – The US team was the best in the team standings at the World Championships in Athletics, which was held in Budapest.
Team USA has won 12 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals. The second place was taken by athletes from Canada (4-2-0), the third – by the Spanish team (4-1-0).
In March, the Council of the World Athletics Association (World Athletics) restored the membership of the All-Russian Federation of Athletics (VFLA), but extended the suspension of athletes from Russia and Belarus from competitions under the auspices of World Athletics due to the situation in Ukraine.
