MOSCOW, September 15 – The head of the London football club Tottenham, Angelos Postecoglou, became the best coach in the English Premier League (EPL) in August, according to the tournament website.

In August, the capital club won two victories and drew once. With 10 points, the team ranks second in the standings, two points behind leaders Manchester City. Previously, Tottenham midfielder James Maddison was recognized as the best footballer in the Premier League in August.

Also in the running for the award were Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) and David Moyes (West Ham).

Postecoglou became the second Australian to win an individual monthly award in the Premier League. In 2010, London Fulham footballer Mark Schwarzer was recognized as the best gambler in February.
