Tottenham’s Maddison named England’s best footballer for August
MOSCOW, September 15 – London Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison was recognized as the best football player of the English Premier League in August, according to the official website of the tournament.
Maddison received this award for the first time in his career. The 26-year-old midfielder played three matches in the English Championship in the last month of summer, in which he scored a goal and provided two assists.
In the fight for the prize, Maddison beat forwards Taiwo Awonyi (Nottingham Forest), Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United) and Brian Mbemo (Brentford), as well as midfielders Rodri (Manchester City) and Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton and Hove Albion”).
