The VFV disciplinary commission will consider the words of the Lokomotiv coach Voronkov about the “monkey”

MOSCOW, May 13 – The disciplinary commission of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVF) will soon consider the statements of the head coach of the Kaliningrad Lokomotiv Andrey Voronkov during the final series of the playoffs of the Russian women’s volleyball championship, General Secretary of the VVV Alexander Yaremenko said.
On Thursday, Lokomotiv won the final playoff series against Uralochka-NTMK from the Sverdlovsk Region (3-2). The team became the champion of Russia for the second time in a row. At the end of the third game, Voronkov took a time out and said to one of his volleyball players: “Why are you catching this monkey again?” The phrase went live. Prior to that, the Cuban striker “Uralochka-NTMK” Ailama Sese Montalvo brought a few points to his team. The club from the Sverdlovsk region demanded an apology.
“At the moment, we are waiting for the position from the clubs, athletes and the coach. Of course, this incident will be considered by the disciplinary commission of the VFV in the near future,” Yaremenko was quoted as saying on the VFV Telegram channel.
