Sakkari lost in the first round of the US Open
MOSCOW, 28 Aug – Greece’s Maria Sakkari, ranked eighth in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) world rankings, finished the fight at the US Open in the first round.
In the opening match at the New York Grand Slam tournament, Sakkari, seeded eighth, lost to Rebeka Masarova of Spain with a score of 4:6, 4:6. The meeting lasted 1 hour and 27 minutes.
