Former world No. 6 Frenchman Gilles Simon to retire at the end of the season
MOSCOW, May 7 – French tennis player Gilles Simon has announced that he will retire from professional tennis at the end of the season.
“It was a magical, wonderful and extraordinary adventure. It will end at the end of the year. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible. There is no sadness or regret. Just the desire to leave everything that I have left. In every game. Until the end”, Simon wrote on his Twitter page.
Simon is 37 years old. He has won 14 ATP tournaments in singles. His highest position in the ranking of the best tennis players in the world is sixth.
