Germany midfielder Draxler moved to Qatari Al-Ahly
MOSCOW, September 18 – Germany national football team midfielder Julian Draxler has moved to Qatari Al-Ahly, the team’s official website reports.
The 29-year-old footballer’s contract with the Qatari club runs until the summer of 2025. The midfielder will play for Al-Ahly wearing number seven.
In the 2022/23 season, Draxler played for the Portuguese Benfica on loan; the midfielder scored 2 goals in 18 matches as part of the Portuguese team.
Previously, Draxler played for the French PSG, as well as the German Wolfsburg and Schalke. The midfielder also has 58 matches for the German national team, in which he scored seven goals. Together with the German national team, he became world champion in 2014.
