Claude Julien to be Canada’s head coach at the Ice Hockey World Championship

MOSCOW, 18 April – Claude Julien, who led the Canadian national ice hockey team in the matches of the Olympic tournament at the 2022 Games in Beijing, will be the head coach of the national team at the 2022 World Championship, according to the official website of the Ice Hockey Federation of Canada.
Julien’s coaching staff will include Denis Joseph Smith and AndrĂ© Turigny. Shane Doan will once again take over as general manager of the team, with Rick Nash as his assistant.
Team Canada, led by Julien at the Olympic Games in Beijing, reached the 1/4 finals, where they lost to the Swedes.
The World Championship will be held from 13 to 29 May in Finland. Team Canada is the reigning world champion.
