MOSCOW, 27 Jul – The President of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White highly appreciated the act of the founder of the Russian MMA promotion Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA) Mairbek Khasiev, who stopped the fight due to the passivity of the fighters.
The incident happened in the duel between Ali Bagov and Rashid Magomedov last week. Before the fifth round, Khasiev personally entered the cage and interrupted the fight due to the passivity of both athletes.
“That’s fucking cool! Respect for this guy. Unbelievable and highly unprofessional, but just cool at the same time! Was it really such a boring fight?” White said with a laugh at a press conference posted on the UFC YouTube channel.
“It gave me some ideas. There are days when I want to throw a chair (in the octagon), but you have to accept it. Or get up and go to your office. Although it would be worth doing what this guy from ACA did” White added.
